How to Secure 90%+ Marks in the FSc Exams


 If you are interested in scoring over 90% marks in the final FSc exams, then you are not alone. There are many students who share this same wish. However, only some are able to achieve this goal. Those are the students who seriously engage in exam preparation with dedication and hard work. 

So, if you are willing to put in the effort needed to secure more than 90% marks on your final FSc exams, then follow these tips:

Exam Preparation Strategy
You must develop an effective exam preparation strategy. While students may differ in terms of their learning preferences, pace, and study methods, there are some steps in the exam preparation strategy that should not be overlooked if you want to score top marks. 

1.        Follow the syllabus
This step should be a no-brainer. Keep a copy of the most recent syllabus for your particular educational board, whether it is Lahore Board, Federal Board, or any other. All the questions that appear in the final exams will be from the topics included in the syllabus; nothing more and nothing less. Hence, you must base your exam preparation around the syllabus. This will prevent you from missing out on any important chapter, or from studying out-of-course material.

2.            Solve past papers
One of the top reasons for success in FSc students is sufficient past papers practice. So, if you want to secure 90% or more marks, then obtain the previous 5 years past papers, from 2014 to 2018, for all of your FSc subjects. Solve each paper at least once. Practicing past papers will give you the opportunity to apply your knowledge of the syllabus to actual exam questions, give you confidence in solving questions for the final FSc exams, and will improve your time management. 

3.            Do not rely solely on “ratta”
This is a grave mistake that many FSc students make, which costs them precious marks. While it is important to memorize information for the exam, “ratta” is a study method which neglects conceptual learning, which will make it difficult for you to effectively answer the exam questions. So, when you are reading the textbook, search for meaning and comprehension. This will give you better information retention and understanding, to effectively attempt the final FSc exams and secure top marks.

In addition to these concrete steps for effective exam preparation, also follow these tips in the examination hall, which will impress the examiner and secure you maximum marks!

  • Draw a clean margin on each page of your answer sheet
  • Write with neat, clean, and attractive handwriting
  • Use headings and subheadings when answering questions
  • Underline the key terms or phrases in your answers with a single straight, clean line
  • Clearly fill in only ONE option for MCQs
