The Best Paper Presentation Tips


We all know that paper presentation really matters when it comes to Federal Board 9th and 10th class Examinations. Your papers presentation is the first impression that you give off to the examiner.  Therefore, it’s important to ensure that you focus on presenting your solutions in the best possible manner. 


Here are tips to help you Papers Presentation
1. Use Headings for Keywords, ideas, and main concepts - 
When attempting a question, ensure that you use headings for keywords, ideas and main concepts. This helps define what the important point is to answer the question. Use a black marker for the heading, and a blue fountain pen to fill in the details under the heading. 

2.   Use Subheadings where necessary - 
At times a topic or concept is so broad that it needs to be broken down into parts. In order to break it up effectively, use a sub-heading for highlighting the keywords, idea or concept. 

For example, if a question is about the types of joints in the body; the main Heading would be “Types of Joints” and subheadings would include “Immovable Joints” “Moveable Joints” and “Ball - Socket Joints” 

3.   If your answer sheet does not have a margin, then draw one - 
If your answer sheet does not have a margin, then it’s very important to draw one. This is important for keeping your writing aligned. 

Ensure that you mention the Question number, and part inside the margin. You should never add any other information in the margin. 

4.    Write quotes using a different pen colour to make it stand out - 
In subjects such a Pakistan Studies, Urdu and Islamiat you often have to use quotes in order to illustrate your knowledge of the question being asked.

For quotes, ensure that you align the text in the middle of the page and not to the left. Also, make sure you use quotation marks at the start and end of the quote. 

The name of the person who said the quote should be listed underneath the quotation, and the year should be mentioned within brackets. 

5.  Break information up in Paragraphs - 
It’s important to break information up into paragraphs. Always start a new point in a new paragraph. This helps organize your solution, and makes it easier to read. 

6.  Always Write Neatly - 
Practice your handwriting, and make sure that it is neat and legible. This goes without saying, but if your writing is messy and illegible the examiner can not give you marks even if your content is correct! 

7. Use Dividers (Page Breaks) - 
You can use a page breaker, or divider between different parts of the questions to make your page more presentable. 

8. Use a Ruler when drawing diagrams, or graphs -
 
When drawing a diagram, or graphs then always use a ruler to ensure that the lines
  are straight. Messy, jagged lines give off a poor impression to the examiner. 

9.  Label Diagrams or Graphs Where necessary - 
 Make sure that you label your diagrams and graphs in order to make it clear what it is
 you are presenting in your solution.

10. Practice these techniques before going into your exam - 
A key part of your exam preparation is practicing your paper presentation. Ensure that when solving old past papers you present all your solutions neatly, using these presentation techniques. This will help you build up your speed and habit of making the best paper presentations.
